wong kar-wai’s cinema stays inspiring me; a mix of nostalgic grittiness, traditional asian fashion, getting lost in dense alleyways, hong kong neon lights, and the smoke of too many cigarettes in the air.

this is a couples shoot inspired by one of my favorite movies, in the mood for love (2000).

this year, i’ve really leaned into movies + books as the inspiration starting point of shoot conception— been loving how inventive the team gets and how i get to run with it in creative direction. thank you denise + john for the trust and prop styling!!
